What Clients Say About Andrew
~”It is hard for me to believe that less than 8 months ago I was struggling with the decision to call Andrew Balbus. At that time I had a mountain of debt; felt unhappy and hopeless about making any changes in my life. Every day I asked myself, “Why do I work so hard to pay for things I don’t want?” I thought that filing bankruptcy was the worst thing that could ever happen. I couldn’t have been more wrong! I finally had the good sense to reach out for help and The Balbus Law Firm made me feel comfortable and confident that I could be happy again.
Andrew Balbus and Amanda Kindle made filing for bankruptcy easy. They were very upfront about the realities of my situation; without any judgment or condescension.
Today, I cannot imagine what would have happened if I didn’t call.
Mr. Balbus is a “Debt Crushing Superhero!”
Thank you again for everything! “
~”My wife and I own and operate a small business and were hit particularly hard by the economic downturn in 2008/2009. We first looked into bankruptcy in 2011 when our creditors began to initiate legal proceedings against us. The first attorney we spoke with indicated that while bankruptcy would eliminate our debts, it would also most likely result in the closure of our business with the loss of a good portion of our business inventory as well as some real estate holdings.
After holding off for two years, we elected to look into bankruptcy again and this time contacted Balbus Law primarily because of Andy’s business background as well as his firms practice being limited to bankruptcy cases. While I thought I had a good understanding of the Chapter 7 filing requirements, they proved to be far more complex than anticipated. However, with the guidance and hands on approach of Balbus Law, everything moved quickly and smoothly with the end result being the discharge of all or our debts, while keeping all of our property (personal and business). THANK YOU ANDY!!!”
~”Our experience with Andrew and filing for Chapter 7 was actually a positive one. Andrews warmth and humor made us feel immediately very comfortable.
Bankruptcy was not something my husband or I ever wanted to do. I felt embarrassed and somewhat ashamed. Although I was working as a nurse, my husband had lost his good paying job as a construction manager. As his unemployment was running out, we were forced to liquidate some of our assets in an attempt to avoid bankruptcy. At this point we had done everything we knew to do.
Andrews professionalism and respect made it all so painless. He took a lot of time to explain all of our options and the entire process. Andrews due diligence was immensely invaluable in attaining the final results. Basically, he showed us that bankruptcy was not such a terrible thing, but in fact the SMART thing to do!”
~”I have to say that I am SOOO relieved we filed. Yes, of course I thought we were going to jail!!! I was afraid, but Mr. Balbus put us at ease immediately and he continued to so do throughout the process. Mr. Balbus helped us understand what to expect, made sure we were comfortable with our decision and of course, made us laugh. I thought going through bankruptcy would be horrific. I thought my whole family would be getting phone calls from our creditors (you know how they always find family:) Mr. Balbus made it plain and simple – and that it was – very simple. I wish I knew this a long time ago – the relief of filing is overwhelming. We have gotten used to following a budget and we are saving money – we have never had a savings account! It is eye opening – we pay much more attention to what we purchase and we have short and long term financial goals. The certification online courses were pretty helpful. Believe it or not we have been receiving credit card offers already – i don’t even open them:) We wish to thank you, Mr. Balbus once again – for all you have done for us and how you made our life so much easier!”
Nobody ever thinks they will declare bankruptcy, but if your circumstances are such that you must then the best and intelligent decision you can make is to go with an experience and knowledgeable lawyer. He will make the process understandable as well as always having “you” as his main priority!
Four years ago I became unexpectedly involved in a frivolous law suit filed out of state against my company and me personally. As I was facing the embarrassing Unthinkable, Mr. Balbus’ advice, focus and guidance were invaluable to understand and act upon the best course of action. He is incredibly well organized, efficient and his fees were a fraction of engagement proposals I had received from other attorneys.
Thank you so much for everything. From that first meeting and throughout the whole process you were great to work with.
I would like to share my experience with Balbus Law Firm with anyone considering to file for bankruptcy.
I was terrified of filing for bankruptcy, as I had heard nothing but negative input including that I would ruin my credit FOREVER!! But after months of sleepless nights, and non stop harassing phone calls I thought it couldn’t get any worse so I finally made the call.
When I first walked into Balbus Law Firm, I was greeted by a friendly atmosphere, a warm smile and a great sense of humor.. After just a few minutes of my first meeting my nervous knots were gone and I knew I made the right decision, Although I didn’t know much, Attorney Balbus made me feel comfortable, and helped me to understand what to expect. He was very knowledgeable, kind and patient with me. What I thought would be hard, turned out to be very easy, as Attorney Balbus showed me what I would need to do(which was very little) step by step and he took care of the rest.
Even the online course’s were helpful, before filing bankruptcy I didn’t think I had money to put up for a rainy day or have any type of savings, oh and following any type of budget was non existence!!! I now have a savings…not a lot, but if my car breaks down, or the unexpected comes up I will be okay, and not have to go in debt, or borrow money that I can’t repay.
The entire experience has been life changing, Nine months ago I was so far in debt that most nights were sleepless and my phone ring non stop with bill collectors, three days after filing bankruptcy I noticed that the phone stopped ringing consistently. I now sleep at night waking up well rested with a peace of mind!!!
Anyone in debt, that can’t seem to find there way out, should just make the call…I did, and it was the best decision that I’ve made in a very long time.
CALL ATTORNEY BALBUS TODAY!!! LET HIM FIGHT YOUR FINANCIAL BATTLE FOR YOU, HE WILL SEE YOU ALL THE WAY THROUGH. YOU TOO CAN BE DEBT FREE!!!
When I was considering Bankruptcy, I was very depressed; I was disgusted at life because I felt like a trapped animal, with no way out. My credit cards debt was very high, and I had tried everything possible to deal with it with no success.
At work, I was just physically present, my mind was always wandering elsewhere. I could not concentrate on anything. I would drive from home to work and vice-versa and not even remembering how I got there. In a nutshell, my stress level was to the roof, I thought my life was over and I wished I could just disappear. All these details are worth mentioning, because if I knew what I know now about Bankruptcy, I would have done it earlier and saved myself the aggravation, and the negativity I submitted my family to.
Two months after filling Bankruptcy, I was discharged of about $50,000 in credit card debt. Now, the entirety of my paycheck is at my disposal. Moreover, I already received an offer for a credit card with 0% APR for 9 months and 24.99% APR thereafter, because my credit report now says I have $0 in credit card debt.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that filing Bankruptcy is a panacea, and will solve all your problems right away. What it does however, is that it gets the monkey off your back with the protection of the law, and gives you another shot at life. It’s up to you to learn from your mistakes and avoid making them again. As far as I’m concerned, I now feel re-born again. I learned through the process to better manage my money, and I feel very much happier and relax. My stress level is normal, and I am very confident about my future.
The moral of the story is that, whenever there is a problem, there is a solution. However getting the right one is very important in determining whether you will feel happier or not at the end. For me Dr. Balbus (as I call him) was the solution I needed. I went to him petrified, powerless, hopeless, disappointed, ashamed…etc. I honestly did not believe life would ever be normal for me again. Today I am a happier and better person, because of him. He definitely is the debt Doctor.
The way he deals with your debt issues is very respectful, human, reassuring. He puts you at ease, and as you go through the process, you progressively evacuate your stress, and regain you confidence, and hope.
Do not waste time procrastinating; suffering silently, with nobody to help you. Do not think that drinking heavily, or doing drugs, will make your problems disappear. If anything, they will make them worse. Go see Dr. Andrew Balbus, and he will help you make informed decisions about your life.
Thanks again Dr.Balbus.
